NYC Chapter One: Welcome to New York

Hello my beautiful doodles (why wasn't Taylor on my NYC Playlist) so on the 18th day of the summer month of Augusto one departed for the NYC enduring a week situated there; I hope to diffuse these fragments of memories that remain via dispersion throughout three blogs for you giys x

Day one (Tuesday 18th): caught the plane from Heathrow at 10:30am and on the plane one watched the SpongeBob movie which was actually quite good!! Not as funny as the series and the plot wasn't great but it did make me a v happy doodle :)):)) x also saw Tomorrowland but didn't pay much attention bc was not v good the convalescing clouds were much more enlightening and also pretty transcending
Although I was disillusioned by certain parts, there some very good themes such as the corruption of society, subversion vs morality, right and wrong, malice and power (ok looking a little too deep omg deep!!!) but overall I think bikini bottom, although not explored in a setting fueled way as the series, was an illustration of microcosmic allegory for the dual-faced nature of not just humankind, but all of creation and consciousness.

Equally, there was lots of very good satire, spoiler alert soz)) thanks to the sardonicism of old g Krabs (is that how you spell it idk bc pretty sure it's got a b in it) and my favourite squid who is actually an octopus ???

"Welcome to the apocalysp, Mr squidward. I hope you like leather"
- satirising via hyperbolic/ litotic stereotypes but also sarcasm bc you don't 'like' if you just comply
- also alluding to the subtextual themes of conformity vs morality (is that even a thing no ok it's not but let's go with it)

"I prefer swede
- THIS IS TRUE SUBVERSION: not only is he subverting this stereotype, but this is done through inversion - swede is the inside of leather!!!!
Subversion via inversion wow I need to meet the scriptwriters for spongebob

Also I enjoyed other nice moments such as that of the abhorrence perceived  when presenting the psycholgically fragmenting sponge, whereupon he acts on this instinctive, compelling urge to intertwine _-
The garbage
With the recycling.

Two things, one symbolising morality, the other oblivious rationality?

but together: insanity

This was clearly echoing spongebob's innocent insanity which even when lost, is never gone

I do envy his ability to sustains his blind innocence amidst all the ubiquitous abhorrence

I also liked how although the adverts back in March emphasised the cgi animated segments, this was only a small part of the plot; the story mostly comprised the cartoon animation, albeit evidently Tom Kenny had been using his voice character to bleach his bathroom tiles bc the bob has become noticeably fluorescent radiating an almost neon aura so ultimately nice job scriptwriters but animatiors stick to the classic retro sponge bc if you're 14 or 17 and spongebob is life then ur too nostalgic to accept that his skin glows with such ungodly fluorescence with age

So we took a bus to Times square and the disillusionment radiated more oppressively than the sun as
[[I realised
[[[there isn't even a clock[] ][
[[[[and its not even a square]]]]]]

Times Square??? More like TIMELESS PARALLELOGRAM

But this radiating disillusionment did not break me, just the most superficial of hairs

Then we checked into the hotel and it was v nice: room was v high (48th floor) and the wall was just one huge window segmented into smaller squares like in my aunt's boyf's apartment in Singapore and the view was of this H&M skyscraper with a pretty antenna that changes colour which made me somewhat jealous of horses and unicorns with their antlers and unihorns; howev, this leaves less room for the hairs so I guessed I could just let it go seeing as we're pretty even.

Just before sunset we ascended this skyscraper thing which has levels of viewing points and its weird bc there are like three levels and its like they've just unearthed the underworld from the depths of hell and gone all out with the subversive inversion so instead of admiring the flames of the sinners condemned to damnation in the fiery underworld you're like an insignificant god looking down on those who've failed to ascend the spiral above which is peak I wanted to feel like satan with my demon gs beside me; alas, it seems NYC is not the city of my dreams I'd envisioned.

It was nice though as I turned away from the city to a wave of copper spiral explosions as this motherly lady and I exchanged synchronised smiles of unambiguous equivocality, as she said 'hey, we saw you on the bus!!' and I remembered her as the mother to probably the sassiest 6 or 10 year old child Ive ever seen haha sorry I can't identify children's ages lol imagine me as an eyewitness when I corrupt a child, unbeknownst to me by all but appearances, to murder all the eyelashes and when turning myself in a pathetic attempt to reverse the remorse the artist comes and is like
'ok can you tell me how old he was'? and I'm like
'yes I believe can, for one doth possess the demonic power of ability to express thoughts via vocalised words but whether or not I lexify this well that kind of foresight is a power I still struggle to reach'
and he saes 'cut it or I will cut u how old was he'
'who sais it was a he'
'she?'
'u sure you wanna go there'
then I will proceed into a egalitarian discourse on the abhorrence of this societally constructed label of binary opposites we assume as gender
'idk like 2 or 3 or 24 u decide'

Day 2 (Wednesday 19th): so there's this thing with the TV network (NBC) where you can be in the audience for talkshows so the following morning we queued up outside the studio place from about 8am hoping to see The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon but there was also another one called Late Night with Seth Meyers (he looks like ben stiller lol) and due to its comparative unpopularity we queued for the latter bc less people but during the q there was a concert thing across the road so I strolled across to see and Little Mix were performing!!!!!!

Then we returned just before 5 and had to walk through these pretty corridors with smooth steps and I casually tried to snap a photo but ran out of space so restarted my phone with one hand be too smooth for dual hands, however it made me look like I was awkwardly taking photos and the the security guard saw me and was like: "SIR come over here" and pulled me out of the queue and I thought I was going to be handcuffed but he was just like 'delete the picture' and I was like 'ok' even though I knew I hadn't  taken anything Im so used to people assuming Im lying I pretended to do it but I obviously just went back to her bc my phone
went
bacqk to
blackk,
we only said goodbye
in word
I died a hundred time
bc u go baq to her
and I
goes
backs
to
blaqqqqqqqqqqq

Amy Winehouse you were a true queen I miss you

anyway we waited in this v cool lounge and the scary guard guy who pulled me out was like 'NO PICTURES otherwise we WILL KIQ U OUT uve got this far so y be basiq risqy bitch'

so when they weren't looking I took some v v v v vv  vv v  vsurreptitchous snapshots v v vv low

v v v v stealth

such smooth scandalousness who even am I anymore just look at this

what I could have done

But anyway it was actually amazing bc Seth is such a cool guy and he had some pretty amazing guests that night:

Tony Hale (an actor in a movie called American Ultra co-starring Connie Britton!!!)

Matthew Broderick (Id never heard of him but he was in the movie Ferris Bueller's day off and he's married to Sarah Jessica Parker also I hear he was quite the babe back in the day 😏)

and

wait for it

you've probably read it lol y do I bother

KEGAN MICHAEL KEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my dad was just like who is that??? and I was just like
w t f a  d a D
planet's funniest animals?????????????????????????????????? pitch parfait???????????????

The following night John Cena was a guest and the day after Connie Britton!!!!! I would have actually cried if I saw her she's actually the most beautiful 48 year old female person

Ironically, you lose all sense of time in Times Square

Probably bc you're BLINDED BY THE SCREENS AND THERES NO CLOCKS like anywhere

Also Rachel drinks smart water!!!! <3
